Baptist Employee Discount Program Participation Criteria/Guidelines

To ensure a quality benefit for Baptist employees, the following criteria will apply to participating merchants:

  • A merchant will commit to participating in the Baptist Employee Discount Program on an ongoing basis. Information will be updated periodically. Should any information about participation change, including discount levels, locations, or contact information, merchant is advised to forward change information via e-mail to discounts@bmhcc.org.

  • All communication from Baptist to participating merchants regarding the Baptist Employee Discount Program will be sent via email. Merchants must have an e-mail address to receive necessary information.

  • Merchants will not offer discounts on products or services that are in conflict with the Baptist core values or policies.

  • Baptist employees will use their employee ID badge to receive a discount. Merchants must be able to accept the Baptist employee ID badge and ensure that their employees are adequately trained to transact the discount.

  • If merchant discounts are offered online, Baptist will provide the merchantís link information but there must be a special code or identifier to validate the Baptist employee eligibility.

  • Discounts must be greater than what are already offered to the general public.

  • Participating merchants must have an active business license. Baptist reserves the right to confirm the status of a merchantís business license and check the status with the Better Business Bureau.

  • Participating merchants will not use the Baptist logo or otherwise imply that participation in the Baptist Employee Discount Program is an endorsement of the merchantís products/services by Baptist.

  • Merchants may not solicit or distribute materials to employees at work either by phone, e-mail, regular mail, or in person.

  • Participation in the Baptist Employee Discount Program does not constitute or create a vendor contract or any other type of contract or an agent relationship between the merchant and Baptist. Additionally, participation in the Baptist Employee Discount Program does not affect any vendor contract or other obligations with Baptist if any such vendor relationship exists nor does it have any affect on any potential prospective business with Baptist.

  • Participating merchants agree that they will not release any information obtained from or about Baptist or its employees.

  • Participation in the Baptist Employee Discount Program will be subject to ongoing review by Baptist. Baptist reserves the right to discontinue a merchantís discount if the above participation criteria are not met or for any reason deemed to be in the best interest of Baptist or its employees.

  • If a merchantís application for participation is denied or a merchantís discount discontinued, the merchant will receive notification from Baptist. All decisions are final; there is no appeal rights associated with the Baptist Employee Discount Program.
